For National Poetry Day
6 Words Down the Years
(tossed & found poem)

"Now the message I have
is an old one.
It's the simplest
and most classic message
ever been passed on
in world history.

It's those six words:
DROP OUT, TURN ON,
then come back and
TUNE it IN and then
DROP OUT again and
TURN ON and TUNE
it back.IN... It's a rhythm...
TURN ON, TUNE IN, DROP OUT.
It's all a rhythm,
it's all a beat"

Timothy Leary, April 1966

"The GO IN, STAY IN,
TUNE IN advice is
recognised and used
around the world.

It was developed by the
Independent National Steering Committee
on Warning and Informing the Public
as being the best general advice
to give people caught up in
most emergencies.

If you are not involved in
an incident but are close by
or believe you may be in danger,
in most cases the advice is
GO IN, STAY IN, TUNE IN".
